Friday Writing Exercise: Get Competitive

One of the best ways to get yourself motivated to write is to get competitive! Even if you don’t win, by aiming for a competition deadline you can push yourself to finish that short story/poem/essay/whatever that you’ve been sidelining. Here are some upcoming writing competitions that have no entry fee (so you really have nothing to lose!)

Lord Mayor’s Creative Writing Prize – closes 6pm, Saturday 31 August

This one’s not really a competition…but hey, it’s a great opportunity!
