In this interview, Eli talks about his craft as a writer.
Eli Glasman was born to an orthodox Jewish family in Caulfield, Melbourne. At the age of seventeen he decided the orthodox life wasn’t for him. He went on to study Creative Arts at the University of Melbourne and began building his career as a writer.
His work has appeared in Voiceworks and Sleepers Almanac. His first novel, The Boy’s Own Manual to Being a Proper Jew, about a homosexual boy in the Melbourne orthodox Jewish community, will be released through Sleepers Publishing in July 2014.
